Think about the last time you woke up early excited. Was it -

  1. A sports event

  2. Social event

  3. Traveling

  4. Quiet time alone

  5. Exercise

  6. Play video games

  7. Watch your favorite show

  8. Night before Christmas

For me, I will wake up at 4:00AM to watch my favorite soccer team - Liverpool FC. I'm excited. I go to sleep with anticipation. I'm energized. I typically wake up earlier than my alarm because I'm already ready to go.

Why can't you recreate this on a daily basis to wake up excited every day?

I prioritize what I want to do early in the morning by scheduling exciting things in the morning so I go to bed anxious to wake up early. For example, here's what my schedule looked like this week -

Monday (4AM - 6AM): Suns vs Rockets (Recorded, didn't check scores so I can watch "live")

Tuesday (4AM - 6AM): Play current favorite video game (Expeditions: Rome)

Wednesday (4AM - 6AM): Liverpool FC vs Southampton (Recorded, "live")

Thursday (4AM - 6AM): Play video games with my brother

Friday (4AM - 6AM): Suns vs Lakers (Recorded, "live")

Saturday (4AM - 6AM): Watch current favorite show (Recorded, "live")

Sunday (4AM - 6AM): Liverpool FC vs West Ham (Live)

Its now 6AM and my battery is full. I did what I wanted and I'm ready for more strenuous tasks. I don't need to look forward to my evening where I get a couple hours to myself, I've already had my time. I prioritized it.

Bonus: Use this to habit stack. After your morning fun, do 10 minutes of yoga, read a book, go for a walk, or prepare for the day. All of a sudden you have the capacity to give more because you took care of yourself first.
