Checklist of Wrong "Whys"

Novelty. Is it a genuine innovation? Or a fad? (e.g., Razr or skinny jeans).

Manipulation. Leads to transaction, but doesn't breed loyalty. In fact, will breed resentment (e.g., raising prices to then go on "Sale").

Peer-Pressure. Effective, but will leave a sour taste in your mouth (e.g., tip screens or car salesmen).

Price. Race to the bottom. Will be effective in the short-term but not sustainable.

Fear. Can drive results but ultimately immoral.

Aspirations. False sense of achievement. Manipulates into feeling of making progress without tangible long-term improvement. Ultimately another form of manipulation.
