Plan

I tried practicing my golf game today. It went terribly.

Why?

I had no plan. I’m just going out there and swinging with no goal, objective, metric to gauge feedback, or plan in mind. Then the outcome isn't what I want it to be and I get frustrated.

Whose fault is it?

The Architect. The Designer. The Manager.

Me

I failed to plan therefore I planned to fail.

Thing is - this is great news! I have diagnosed the problem and found the root cause. I have the evidence that this approach doesn’t work, therefore, I can analyze what didn’t work and come up with a new plan. I don’t get to waste any more of my time using a faulty plan!

Time to put on my Architect hat and get to work with the new plan.
